What is the Chronically Confident Community?

The Chronically Confident Community was created to inspire humans to live their most confident and authentic lives, through practising radical self-acceptance. I write about everything under the sun related to confidence, and I’m not afraid to dig into political and taboo topics. People in this community will be inspired to take an active role in practising daily confidence while navigating regular life challenges like; body image, friendship, relationships, career, and social barriers. The confidence I teach isn’t dependent on how much money you have, how skinny you are or what your religious or gender identity is. Confidence is a skill any of us can learn to improve our quality of life, and it is accessible to all.

Sign up and read how to approach difficult situations with a growth mindset of confidence and acceptance. Join over 700 subscribers on the same confidence journey, trying to do their best. The journey is not about being perfect or getting everything right. It is about finding purpose, believing in ourselves, and practising confidence no matter what life throws at us. This community is packed with tips for growing a confident mindset in every area of life.

Who are they?

Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a queer disabled Jew dancing my way through life. I love spending time outside, playing with dogs, drinking coffee on a patio in the sunshine, and walking daily with no headphones in the forest. My favourite topics include boundaries, politics, perfectionism, sustainability, queerness, sexuality, fitness, and critical thinking. Oh, and I have a BSc. in Natural Resource Conservation, and a Msc. in Public Policy with a major in Sustainability and Social Change.

This obsession with creating confidence content started from my own journey toward body acceptance after being diagnosed with two chronic illnesses and getting stomach reconstruction surgery at just 17 years old. For a decade of my life, I had no self-confidence. Fear of being disliked or judged stopped me from doing the things I love, and creating meaningful relationships, and ultimately blunted my authenticity. I struggled with body image for years before discovering the idea of body acceptance, and later confidence. I have been creating content on confidence-building and body acceptance now for over five years, documenting my journey and lessons learned along the way.

Some facts about me:

  • I produced a confidence podcast with 98-5-star reviews on Spotify

  • I have competed 3 times in competitive powerlifting

  • I have IBD and got my colon removed when I was 17 years old

  • I’ve worked multiple jobs in communications and marketing for environmental non-profits

  • I love doing abstract makeup art, creating outfits, painting, writing poetry and being creative

  • I am really sarcastic and thrive off of dry humour
